Puppy Safety
Posted on July 22nd, 2007 by John
A puppy can bring joy to the family as it provides an unconditional affection. Most of the times the curiosity of the puppy can lead it in harms way. This is so inside the home even.
There are some basic aspects that need to be looked at and your puppy may be fine:
- Hide the power cables. Puppy can chew the power cable and get into trouble. You have to hide the cables.
- Raise the level of houseplants. Puppy can nibble on houseplants. Some of them can be harmful for the young friend. It is better to hang the plants from ceiling or place them beyond the reach of the puppy.
- Secure your cabinets and cupboards. Every house has cleaning agents, some insecticides or pesticides. A puppy can make an innocent move and get into trouble. It is best to secure your cabinets.
- Secure your balcony or other high places. Puppy can be curious and not always familiar with the dangers of leaping from height beyond safety. It is better not to allow your puppy unguarded near high spots.
Keeping your puppy safe is a matter that may need some money and effort but then in the end it is a source for endless joy.
